Great Political Deceit & Redirection

As I watch Bush and his Administration and Generals sit in front of TV cameras distorting the truth about there lack of response to this disaster in the Gulf and still patting themselves on the back for a terrific job they are doing. Redirecting there answers so you don’t get a straight one. I wonder how many Americans are swollowing this. I have heard certain Bush cronies lay down excuses as they are still rescuing people and still getting food and water to people who have not had any now going on 8 days.

I expect this from the Bush cronies, as people like Sean Hannity and Bill O’ Reilly give excuses and say things like now is not the time to point fingers. Well “Hello” Sean when is the time? Are we going to wait for the next disaster to hit us so we can go through the same thing again? Hell what happen to the lessons of 9/11? did we not learn anything. Has all these new programs Homeland Security, FEMA, and countless other government programs been for nothing. Has all of our tax money being spent on all these programs for nothing?

Bill O’ Reilly said the other night it is our fault for counting on the Feds and we should not count on the feds for anything. Well hell Bill if that is the case I want all my tax money back. What the hell are we paying taxes for and having elections if we can’t count on our government to help us and protect us in great times of need. However it would be my fault as an American not to question or speak my unhappiness on how our government is being ran and represented. (What is sad is I like Sean & Bill).

So now all the Bush cronies are calling people like Me Bush haters and that WE have an agenda. Well first of all I don’t hate Bush yet? I voted for him in his first term. I thought he could be a good leader not an excuse maker. I am not a Republican or Democrat because I still can think for myself. (Read Frustrated American). I have lost all respect for Bush; he can’t admit when he is wrong or when he screwed up! he cannot fire anybody and he most certainly has an agenda, not for America but for himself, and certain corporations. (Halliburton being one of them.) We will see who the contractors are that help clean up the south. We already know who’s in Iraq. Now of course that part is my opinion. “O” that reminds me where is the Vice President through all of this?

If it sounds like I am pissed at Bush and his Administration I am as well as all of you should be. A lot of people died well after the hurricane and the levee broke and are still dying. The blame goes to a lot of people local, state & federal. You can make all the excuses about how the state didn’t tell us in time or there is a chain of command or we had to move our forces back till the hurricane came through. The bottom line is the President is in charge and it is his sworn duty to protect the citizens of the United States. Reacting 4 & 5 days after the fact is totally unacceptable especially when they new about it 5 days before it happen and they federalized it 2 days before the hurricane hit.

Mr. President if this were a corporation and this happened you and all your staff would be fired because no company could run on such incompetence or they would not be in business and that is a fact. I do understand mistakes will be made but hell you can’t even admit to your mistakes let alone learn from them. This is not the kind of leader I want leading the country and I sure as hell don’t want my kids looking up to. You are not setting a good example for our children but you are teaching wonderful things like how not to admit to your mistakes, don’t take responsibility and redirect attention to the problem when at all possible.

Well America we will see how this plays out. One thing is for certain if the terrorist were not sure how we would react to crisis they certainly do now. Our confidence level around the world will certainly change not to speak of the embarrassment. We apparently have not learned a whole lot about crises since 9/11. Something needs to change in our leadership and how we have structured things. If not, more Americans will certainly suffer and die in our next crisis.

God Bless America and God Help America
Frustrated American
